Immorality is Mortality-Morality is Immortality

Choosing between evil and good is not easy especially when the good seems to be tedious, bureaucratic, hectic, long, etc whilst the evil seems short, cheaper, easier etc… It is at this stage that many Christians compromise.

Genesis 39 , the best analogy. Joseph is offered pleasure at the expense of his purity.
Sexual favor without the strain and cost of taking the lady in question out, buying her pizza, etc,
An opportunity to befriend a powerful Egyptian ruler and maybe an opportunity to be made chief among servants at the expense of his integrity of which he declines and takes a bold step of pronouncing his position in relation to God… Gen 39:8 – Joseph asks how he could do such a thing and sin against his God.!
He took a moral stand. Stood his ground against a lusting woman regardless of the absence of anyone who could report them, he knew he has values to keep. Joseph was demoted to a prisoner. Faced accusations, termed a criminal and sentenced to jail. I’m sure in this scenario, one would ask where was God! Why was He silent! Morality may not pay instantly, but it pays.

I don’t want to imagine what ran through the mind of Joseph as he took his prison uniform as a “rape convict!!!”
He stood for purity, morality, the kingdom!
There was no one to defend Joseph since there was evidence of his attire left in the hands of the ” victim”.

You can jail a pure person but you cannot jail purity. You can jail a moral person but not morality. You can condemn and demote a non-corrupt ( uncooperative) person but not integrity. God was with him in prison.the man excelled and an opportunity was created to get him out of prison.
The young man got a marking scheme for the king’s exam.He interpreted Pharaoh’s dream and was made second in command. He rejected Potiphar’s offer and ruled her household in future. The lady was so irrelevant in Joseph’s come back.
May God give you Patience. You may miss that opportunity because you refused to bribe but don’t worry.Your graduation may delay because you refused to bribe that lecturer but hold on!

Darling your results may be denied for refusing to go to bed with that lecture, hold on, you may miss the job and fail the interview for upholding your morality, worry not!
You may sleep hungry because you have refused an offer from that sugar daddy, respect that marriage… It will ultimately pay!

Samson ( Judges 13-16), on the other hand, failed to uphold morality. He quickly gave in to Delilah’s trap and compromised his purity. One time in Gaza the man entertained a prostitute and life went on as usual. His moral framework became weak and weak until his sight was eliminated! He later died as a prisoner. Joseph became a prisoner for upholding integrity and later died at old age , Samson, on the other hand,d died a prisoner for entertaining casual sexual relationships.

Make sure to uphold your morality in line with biblical standards. Watch out ;
# during emergencies. Make your morality an emergency too.Even if one lie will make it work let it not work .

# During pressure ..pressure can push you to error. When pressure comes remember to please God. Pressure is not of God. Refuse to sin under pressure

# During lack. Lack can push you to compromise. When poverty strikes , joblessness, famine , people turn to prostitution, corruption, lies, tricks, falsehood , theft ,etc to survive . Remember a thief is a thief even if you steal to cure hunger.

# During abundance : when everything is supplied some people tend to make themselves the standard. You feel like you can advice God and set your rules .You are not the kingdom SI unit. Sin is sin whether committed by a tycoon or a peasant. Whether a begged or a sonar. May I say that immorality is immorality whether done in Zanzibar island or in Soweto slums.

# when you are in power. 2 Chronicles 26:16-After he was in power he sinned against God. His heart was turned against God.

# Times of success . ” Success has authored many failures ”
Fame, success, popularity has jeopardized many destinies. Fame is like perfume. It can smell well when applied but can be poisonous when drunk.

Maintaining a moral framework will give you long life ,sin is a killer. Longevity in the business is tied to your integrity and faithfulness. Your promotion and growth are tied to you being trustworthy. If you can be trusted you can be entrusted!

Uphold morals. Keep your purity, integrity, etc

May you live long.
I prophesy longevity
I speak correction where you have subscribed for premature demise and life of suffering!

God bless you all

Pastor Anthony

Indeed morality is not mortality and a pure person can be jailed but purity and integrity can’t be jailed.
